FREEDOM BOAT CLUB PRESENTS – HANDS-ON BOATING CLINICS

There is nothing more valuable than hands-on training to make you a better, safer, and more confident boater! Take the helm of a powerboat with a professional USCG-licensed captain who will lead you through engaging clinics and give you strategies to help improve your skills and ability and make your time on the water fun. All experience levels are welcome. You will never feel pressured to join Freedom Boat Club or to buy a boat because Freedom Boat Club instructors are professional captains, not salespeople. The courses are offered all four days of the Show. We recommend registering online in advance as classes are limited and sell out quickly. See below for details.

2021 NIBS CHARITABLE PARTNERS

The C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta

A non-profit organization named after the late C. Thomas Clagett, Jr., a U.S. Navy, WW II veteran who loved to sail on the Chesapeake Bay.  In his youth, Tom suffered temporary paralysis from a bout of meningitis; an experience that left him with a deep respect for the accomplishments of people with disabilities.

Stop by the Clagett Regatta Tent A -Booth 33 to learn more about this amazing organization or visit www.clagettregatta.org.

Herreshoff Marine Museum & America’s Cup Hall of FameCelebrating 50 years at the Boat Show!

We are honored to name the Herreshoff Marine Museum as one of two charitable partners at this year’s show!

Located in Bristol, RI, the Museum is a tribute to the world-renowned Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and its remarkable founders, brothers John and Nathanael Herreshoff. These brothers had an uncanny ability to create fast and stylish racing and cruising sailboats up to 162 feet in length. A familiar name to many may be the 75’ Defiant, built in 1992 for the successful defense of the America’s Cup.

While at the show, stop by the Herreshoff display to learn more about the enduring contributions of the Herreshoff brand, the extraordinary sail and power yacht collections, or take a virtual tour of the Nathanael G. Herreshoff Model Room, an exhibit of over 500 design models that demonstrate the brilliance of the “Wizard of Bristol, RI”. Herreshoff boat owners around the world, America’s Cup veterans, and the maritime community at large will surely enjoy all the facets of this legendary company. Visit www.herreshoff.org to learn more or visit Tent A -Booth 11 at the Show this September!
